Does your Vanagon fuel tank have a 7mm outlet?  And your fuel pump has a 12mm inlet.  No problem.

Eliminate your faulty pre-filter, or replace the trouble-proned factory adaptor with the FASTT Billet 7mm/12mm Fuel Line Adaptor.

...and, while you're there, don't forget to throw away that plastic firewall fitting and replace it with a billet FASTT Replacement Fuel Spigot
