FAS, Inc. is a well established, well respected restoration shop, that has built our reputation on providing our clients with nothing but the best. As our shop continues to grow, we are looking for motivated, highly skilled, intelligent restoration technicians and mechanics to join our team. This job involves skilled mechanical work on classic automobiles, including but not limited to VW Buses, Vanagons, Eurovans, Beetles, & Porsches. The ideal candidate for this position will be a well-organized, responsible individual who enjoys learning new tasks, and takes instruction well. Regardless of your experience level, this is a specialized position to which not all of your skills will transfer. A degree of humility is essential.

 

Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to

-Initial evaluation & diagnosis to assist in generating project plans

-Taking direction from managers, and coworkers alike

-Ability to manage projects based on outline given and inform management of any issues that may arise

-Respect historical, mechanical, and cosmetic integirty of client's vehicles

-Keeping detailed, comprehensive records of all tasks performed, using common internal terminology

-Representing FAS with professionalism at all times

-Capability of preforming tasks with precision, accuracy, and good judgement, to meet the needs of clients

 

Requirements

-Three or more years of professional experience as an automotive technician

-Sound theoretical understanding of the operation of engines, manaul and automatic transmissions, electrical systems, and suspension/braking systems

-Punctuality & Dependability

-Strong verbal & written skills

-Ability to meet deadlines

-Frequent light lifting, some heavy lifting, regular use of tools, occasional manual labor

-Take pleasure in learning: This position will pose challenges and opportunites daily. The ability to think quickly and learn by doing is a must.

-Maintain a clean and organized work area
